The Key To Successful Secondary Rhinoplasty

In our previous blog post, Dr. Ali Sepehr discussed revision rhinoplasty candidacy and the unique surgical challenges involved in the procedure. In this follow-up post, Dr. Sepehr will discuss revision rhinoplasty’s biggest challenge – which occurs well before the surgery itself.

rhinoplasty-keysRevision rhinoplasty presents unique challenges to even the most skilled plastic surgeon and requires excellent doctor-patient communication in order to achieve success. Oftentimes, revision rhinoplasty patients are seeking treatment because the outcome of their initial surgery did not deliver the results they anticipated. When I speak to a patient during the consultation process, my primary goal is to ensure that the patient’s goals are accurately translated into a treatment plan.

I focus on helping my patients at The OC Center for Facial Plastic Surgery articulate the final results they are envisioning, and I can use my expertise to help give patients pointers on what would complement their other facial features. In my experience, many patients are unhappy with their initial rhinoplasty results because they did not have these in-depth conversations with their first plastic surgeon. For this reason, I take the time to thoroughly discuss the aesthetic goals of all my rhinoplasty patients, which helps me to reduce the risk that future revisions may be needed.

To learn more about how revision rhinoplasty can help achieve your cosmetic goals, please schedule a consultation with Dr. Ali Sepehr and contact The OC Center for Facial Plastic Surgery today.
